I'm Chris. This is what I do.
I facilitate iboga ceremonies. One person at a time. I travel to wherever you choose to do this. I build a container around you specifically, and I sit with you through the whole thing.
There's no team. No junior facilitators. No one you get handed off to. When you work with Moon Soma, you work with me.
How I got here
I came to iboga the way most people do. Something wasn't working and the usual tools weren't reaching it.
I went to Gabon for Bwiti initiation. That's where iboga comes from. The Bwiti have been working with this plant for centuries.
I've been doing this for years now. Across multiple countries, with people from very different backgrounds. Every ceremony has taught me something.
What I believe about this work
The plant does the work. I don't. My job is to keep you safe, hold the space steady, and stay out of the way.
I don't work from a script. Every ceremony is different because every person is different.
I won't oversell this. Iboga is not magic. It has real limitations. Some people aren't ready. I'd rather lose a client than put someone in a situation that isn't right for them.
The kind of people who find me
Most of the people I work with don't show up at my door first. Iboga usually isn't the first thing they've tried. It's closer to the last.
They've done therapy. It helped them understand things but didn't change the underlying pattern. They're typically smart, skeptical, accomplished.
They don't want a guru. They don't want someone to fix them. They want someone who can hold the space while they do their own work.
The name · Moon Soma
Moon Soma isn't a brand someone designed in a meeting. Moon is Chris. Soma is Ling. She's my partner, and she's a part of everything I do. The lotus in the Moon Soma logo is her.
